Set out on a 6-day adventure that takes you from the bustling markets of Marrakech to the tranquil dunes of Merzouga. Rise and shine! We'll kick off our epic adventure from Marrakech and wind our way over the majestic High Atlas Mountains. The Tizi N’Tichka pass is a marvel at 2260 meters above sea level, offering views that'll have you pinching yourself. Our first stop? The legendary Ait Ben Haddou. Imagine stepping back 800 years and wandering through a real-life sandcastle that whispers tales of ancient caravan routes.
Lunch will be a feast for the senses before we roll into Ouarzazate, Africa's own Hollywood. Peek behind the scenes at movie studios and explore the Taourirt Kasbah. Then, it's a scenic drive to Skoura, where the 'Road of a Thousand Kasbahs' is no exaggeration – it's pure poetry in stone.
After a hearty breakfast, we'll set off through Skoura's palm groves to Amredhyle Kasbah, a hidden gem amidst the trees. We'll venture through the fragrant Roses Valley and the painterly palette of Boumalne Dades, all the way to the breathtaking Todra Gorges. Lunch will be a moment to relax and take it all in.
Our path then leads us to Merzouga's awe-inspiring dunes. As the sun dips, we'll mount our camels and wade through the golden sea of sand to a nomadic tent, where dinner and a starlit sky await.
Wake up in the silent embrace of the desert for a sunrise that ignites the dunes. After breakfast, we'll say farewell to the Sahara and head towards the ancient heartbeat of Morocco, Fes. We'll pass through Rissani, glimpse the Ziz valley, and enjoy lunch amongst the cooling cedar forests, where history meets nature.
As we approach Fes, we'll travel through Azrou and Ifran, each with its own story to tell, before we settle into the evening's cozy abode.
Fes – the city of scholars and craftsmen – awaits us for a full day of discovery. With a history that stretches back to the 8th century, we'll lose ourselves in the maze of the Medina, admire the intricate Medersas Attarine, make wishes at the Ennajarine Fountain, and stand in awe at the Karawiyin Mosque. The day's journey will end with the soothing comforts of our hotel or riad.
We'll wave goodbye to Fes after breakfast and set our sights on Meknes, an imperial city with grandeur to spare. Bab Mansour's gates will open to stories of sultans and splendor. Then, it's off to Volubilis, where Roman ruins proudly bear the marks of time.
With history etched in our minds, we'll drive through rolling hills to Chefchaouen, the blue pearl nestled in the Rif Mountains.
Take the morning to breathe in Chefchaouen's serene blue streets before we journey on to Tangier. As we reach the end of our tour, we'll say our goodbyes, carrying memories that will last a lifetime.
